The Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame stated Greene, a star at linebacker and defensive finish throughout a 15-year profession, died at his house in Florida.

Greene helped the Panthers attain the NFC title recreation in 1996. He retired after the 1999 season and was elected to the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame in 2016.
