Medium Rare Steak

The best indicator for a medium rare steak is how the meat reacts when you press down on it. Towards the middle of the steak, it will spring back slightly, meaning that the center is the perfect shade of pink.

Well-Done Steak

Although many chefs do not like to cook a steak well-done, it can be important for pregnant women and people who cannot eat steak that is raw in any way.

One of the biggest challenges with cooking steak well-done is making sure that the cook is even all the way through, but avoiding dry meat. A well-done steak should cook for around 10 minutes on each side and have a temperature of 170 degrees or more.
