The mystery of his bandage performances has now been explained
The Weeknd shared an amazing new video with his latest song ‘Save Your Tears’
Directed by Cliqua, the new Canadian artist’s visuals continue the story set with previous videos from ‘After Hours’, his fourth studio album.
The first video to be released on this album was ‘Heartless’, when The Weeknd parties in Las Vegas were still high. He was injured and bloodied in ‘Blinding Lights’. He was beheaded in the video ‘In Your Eyes’, while in ‘Too Late’ his head clung to someone else’s body and resuscitated.
Recent works by The Weeknd have seen his face covered with bandages, and now, the video ‘Save Your Tears’ features the results of a new surgery.
The Weeknd recently made headlines after many saw the absence of ‘After Hours’ in this year’s Grammy nominations.
Responding to the incident late last month, the crooner tweeted that the Grammys were “always cheating”, adding: “You owe me, my fans and the transparency of the industry.”
It was a completely different result of the recent American Music Awards, in which Abel Tesfaye walked away with three awards, including Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album and Favorite Song in the Soul / R & B categories.
