Boston University and Holy Cross will both wear masks for a college men’s basketball game on Tuesday, a Boston University spokesman told ESPN.

The game is believed to be the first in the men’s college college this season when both teams will be wearing a mask on the field.

The court reported on Monday morning that Boston University had ordered all its opponents to wear a mask during games at the BU campus. The Terriers and Holy Cross also play on Monday, but that match is on Holy Cross campus, meaning only BU will be wearing masks during the match.

The Patriot League has canceled some mysterious games this season, so Monday’s game will be the first of the season for both Boston University and Holy Cross. The Terriers and Crusaders are scheduled to face six times this season.

The only Patriot teams to play non-stop games were the Army and Navy, who were eligible for release from the academy.
