Keith Walker, 53, rushed into the W-Underdogs shelter on December 18 after a hearth engulfed its kitchen.

“I used to be nervous as hell, I am not going to lie. I used to be actually scared to go in there with all that smoke. However God put me there to save lots of these animals,” Walker informed CNN. “In case you love a canine, you’ll be able to love anybody on this planet. My canine is my greatest buddy, and I would not be right here with out him, so I knew I needed to save all these different canines.”
