In a shocking development, songwriter and interviewer Rajeswara Prasad passed away in Chennai on Tuesday after a heart attack. He wrote about 2,000 songs and recorded interviews with about 300 movies. Although he has written thousands of songs and interviews for hundreds of movies, he is best known for his Telugu translation of Kamal Haasan’s films Panchathanthiram and Dasavatharam.

Raasaleela Vela from the film Aditya369, Mavayya Anna Pilupu of Muddula Mavayya, and Maatarani Mounamidi from the film Maharshi are some of her first songs. His journey as a songwriter began after being inspired by renowned musician SB Balasubrahmanyam, who died recently after recovering from COVID 19.

His sons Shashank and Rakendu Mouli are also famous writers. The line Chirunavvala Varamistava Chiti Nunchi Lechosta was the most famous one he wrote in one of his songs, which eventually became very popular, to be used by many other artists in their later songs.
